Some Recent Handovers

This project consisted of 10 flats and 1 Communal Office Area which started construction in June 2009 and programmed for a 38-week construction. The footprint of the buildings occupied most of the site, this made access and storage extremely difficult. To give enough storage area the single storey to the rear was constructed after scaffolding was removed on the three storey road frontage building. Flat 5 above the drive through was left out until as late as possible to allow access for materials to the rear of site.

The main problem with the build was the use of a crane for floor slabs, stairs and roof construction, this involved road closures and traffic diversions.

Incorporated into the flats are fob entry systems, panic alarm, CCTV in every entrance, security gates.

We were fortunate to be able to rent a flat next door to provide all site facilities.

This project was a conversion and refurbishment of 6 flats, involving structural work, a re-design of the 6 flats, new kitchens, bathroom, floors, all fitted with LST radiators. New car park, entrances and bin stores.

The start date was 30.11.10, with a 20-week programme.

We completed the scheme ahead of the contract period. Residents are due to take occupation in mid-May.
